ADUs can provide solutions to housing scarcity, and the impact should be considered with respect to dimensional standards. The proposed changes to the code would eliminate the maximum stories of an accessory building, i.e. an ADU. Currently, there is a 1.5 story maximum unless two stories are approved via special land use.
